MP: Children fall ill after eating poisonous fruits, hospitalized

Sivani: There is big news from Seoni in Madhya Pradesh. In fact, 49 children here have fallen ill after eating poisonous fruits. The case is said to be from a government primary-middle school. Officials here reported the matter last Saturday. According to the information received in the case, the school is located in the Barghat area of the Seoni district. As per the information received in the case, the sick children were admitted to a nearby hospital where 49 were sent home after treatment after deteriorating their health.

Officials said the school had a Ratanjon tree. The school children had plucked fruits from the same tree and ate them. He further said that when the children returned home from school, their health started deteriorating and the terrified family rushed to Barghat health centre with them. Dr Yogesh Agarwal, who was on duty here, said, "The children had complained of vomiting, abdominal pain and restlessness. As per further information received in the case, 47 children were sent back to their homes after treatment.

However, Dr Agarwal says that two other children were sent to district hospital Sivani for better treatment after their health deteriorated. Another such incident took place in another government school. In fact, this school is also located in Barghat and 13 children fell ill last Thursday after eating alkanet fruit. They were also admitted to the hospital after their health deteriorated.
