From Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism to Guru Gobind Singh Ji, everyone has taught the lesson of humanity and monotheism. The eleventh form of Sikhism 'Guru Granth Sahib Ji' includes not only the teachings of Sikh Gurus, but also Hindu and Muslim saint-poets. According to the orders of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, all Sikhs consider Guru Granth Sahib as their Guru. In addition to the Awakening Jyoti Guru Granth Sahib, Guru Gobind Singh ji has also given 'five kakaras' to the Sikhs. It is worn by a Sikh. A Sikh who has practiced the nectar of 'Khande Bate' provided by Guru Gobind Singh Ji and is following Sikhism as per rules. We call it 'Amrit Tasting' or 'Amritdhari Sikh' in common parlance, which has some rules. Along with this, the Amritdhari Sikh also bears five kakaras, which are as follows - kangha, kada, kachhara (kachha), kirpan (kerpan), kesa (hair). Kangha is not an ordinary comb, only a wood comb. It is available in different colors and sizes. At the time when a Sikh is made 'Amritdhari Sikh', a comb is offered to him. At the time when there was no such practice as shampooing hair, a Sikh kept clean hair with the help of water and oil. But clean the hair with a wooden comb at least twice a day. Even today, an Amritdhari Sikh cleans hair with a wooden comb twice a day - morning and evening. Now come to the next floor, which is tough. For a Sikh, this is not less than a respect. Normally you must have seen this stern in the right hand of all Sikhs. This bracelet should be worn in the right hand and only one bracelet is the rule. The iron ring has been considered a symbol of security. It is said that this toughness gives a Sikh the courage to fight difficulties, the Sikh does not have any fear of any kind. This Kutchhara is quite different from the kind of inner-wear that ordinary people wear. Tradition is that it should be made of cotton cloth. This Kachhera was made with a special purpose. In those days, when Sikh warriors used to go to the battlefield, while riding or while fighting, they needed something that would not cover the body and cause trouble. Even today an Amritdhari Sikh wears Kachhara. It can be easily operated with the help of it, it is very comfortable and there is no problem while doing 'service'. Hair or hair is the identity of being in Sikhism. According to Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Kesh is a gift given to a Sikh by 'Akal Purakh', an honor that should never be separated from oneself. Therefore, an Amritdhari Sikh or any Sikh from the Quaid should not get his hair cut. Here the hair is not just the hair of the head, but the hair of the whole body. It is forbidden to cut or remove the head, beard or any part of the body that has hair. Perhaps you have also noticed, an Amritdhari Sikh is always wearing a small kirpan or dagger on the left side of his waist. This is one of the five kakaras, which is required to be worn for 24 hours, even at bedtime. If taking a bath, at that time this kirpan is tied with a turban on the head, but never separated from its body. Guru Gobind Singh Ji had said that a Sikh should keep arms close to fight violence at all times, but this kirapan should be taken out only and only for defense, it cannot be used for the wrong reasons.
