Night Mare or Bad dreams is a common problem not only in kids but also in adults. Generally, these are not serious problems but sometimes it affect your sleep which directly affects your mental health. Bad dreams or Nightmares are considered a dream that are tied to negative, stressful emotions. These dreams can badly affect your daily routine. Here are 5 tips to get rid of these nightmares.

Sleep with Someone: It is good to have someone around to say everything’s okay. Even for adults, a significant other, friend, or relative could be a good source of support.  A study suggests talking about your bad dream and reminding yourself or your child. When someone is around you, it is a human tendency that you feel protected and safe.

Manage your Stress: Bad dreams is linked to stressful thoughts and worries, find ways to manage those feelings. Practices that incorporate mindful, deep breathing such as yoga and meditation are popular for coping with stress. These will directly help you to have a good mood and sleep. It also reduces the possibility of nightmares.

Night Bath:  Bathing one to two hours earlier than your bedtime stimulates the body’s thermoregulation system and the core temperature goes down. A warm bath at least 90 minutes before your bedtime results in a drop of your core body temperature and signals your body that it is time for bed. This leads to an increase in the production of melatonin which helps you sleep well.
