Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh's cabinet has approved the reorganization of 10 government departments on Wednesday 30 December. Acting on his promise to start the process of recruitment of 50 thousand new government posts in the state, the CM has approved the formation of these new departments. In this way, the path of new recruits has become more clear. It has been decided to create new and more relevant posts in the cabinet meeting held through video conferencing under the chairmanship of CM Captain Amarinder Singh. Due to this, the posts lying vacant for a long time will also be reconsidered and if necessary, eligible candidates will also be recruited on those posts. The 10 departments to be restructured after the cabinet decision are Labor, Technical Education and Industrial Training, PWD (B&R), Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development, Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Local Government, Printing and Writing, Sports and Department of Youth Services Welfare, Defense Services Welfare and Cooperation. 2375 posts will be abolished in these departments and 785 new posts will be created. In addition, Captain Amarinder Singh, while leading the cabinet, also made some amendments in the Punjab Civil Service Rules to give new pay scales (matrix) to the state government and its institutions on the lines of the 7th Central Pay Commission (7th CPC) for all new recruits. Is allowed. This means that the candidates who are admitted to the new posts will get salary as per the revised pay-matrix.
