5000 beds set up for Corona patients at this place

On Sunday, the Karnataka state medical education minister K.K. Sudhakar's big statement has come out. In which he told that in view of the increase in the number of cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), the Government of Karnataka has arranged about 5,000 beds in this technical city for the treatment of coronavirus infected patients.

In his statement, Sudhakar said that about 4,958 beds have been reserved for the treatment of patients infected with 41 facilities including private hospitals and Covid care centers operated in the state in the city. With the maximum number of positive cases being reported in the southern part of the city, due to various reasons, the state government has made available 50% of their beds for coronavirus patients to private hospitals.

Sudhakar said that while answering our call, 72 private hospitals across the city have installed 3,331 beds for Covid cases. After recruiting 733 patients by Saturday, 2,598 beds are ready to accept more cases. In the same development, City Civic Corporation has converted the sprawling Bangalore International Exhibition Center (BIEC) into a Covid care center in the northwest suburb of the city, which has 10,100 beds for treating infected people. The 10,100-bed Covid care center is well ventilated and has adequate bathrooms, toilets, nursing stations, kitchens and other essential facilities to treat patients. Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagar Palika (BBMP) Commissioner BH Anil Kumar said here.
