Maharashtra: 58,924 new cases in 24 hours, 351 killed

Mumbai: The corona virus menace is on the rise in Maharashtra. There is also an increase in sanctions. At the same time, strict orders are also being issued here. After an important meeting held last Monday, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has decided that grocery shops in the state will open from 7 am to 11 am from now on. This means that grocery shops will now open only 4 hours a day. 58,924 new cases were reported in the same state last Monday.

Let us also tell all of you that this number is slightly less than the number of more than 60,000 coming continuously for the last four days. Last Sunday, 68,631 new cases were reported in the state, a record so far. Compared to these two days, the difference is clearly visible. Let us also tell you that 2,73,272 infected people were tested last Sunday, while last Monday 2,21,626 tests were conducted. Now, if you look clearly, the relief that is visible is visible because of the low test.

Similarly, if we look at the percentage, this relief will not be seen. In fact, the positivity rate was 25.1 per cent last Sunday, while the positivity rate last Monday went up to 26.6 per cent. This means that twenty-five people were found positive after every 100 people were tested on Sunday, while about 26-27 people were found positive in testing every 100 people on Monday. This shows that the percentage of corona infection has not come down, only the number has come down.
