New Delhi: Juhi Chawla had filed a petition against the introduction of the 5G network in the country seeking an amendment to the earlier order of the Delhi High Court. The actress has now withdrawn her petition from the Delhi High Court. The court had last month dismissed his plea and imposed a fine of Rs 20 lakh. Justice Jayant Nath allowed the withdrawal of the petition after the plea of Juhi Chawla's lawyer Deepak Khosla. The court said, "The counsel for the plaintiff (Chawla) wants to withdraw the petition with the freedom to seek a solution in the appellate court. The petition is dismissed allowing it to be withdrawn.'' In fact, Juhi had filed a petition urging that her case against 5G be declared "unacceptable" instead of being declared "rejected." Chawla's lawyer argued that the suit 'never reached the level of trial' and could only be rejected or returned under the Civil Procedure Code, but could not be dismissed. The court had imposed Chawla on misusing the law process in the case of challenging 5G wireless network technology and slapped a fine of Rs 20 lakh on her. She was given a week's time to deposit the fine amount. Chawla had also withdrawn a petition seeking a refund of court fees.
