Srinagar: Militants attacked Palhalan Pattan in Baramulla, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir with a grenade. Six people, including two CRPF jawans, were injured in the attack. The terrorists reportedly carried out the attack targeting the CRPF team. Talking to the media, a senior police official said, the terrorists attacked the party at Palhalan Chowk CRPF Baramulla on Wednesday. 2 CRPF jawans and 4 civilians were injured in the attack. All have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Security forces have cordoned off the entire area and launched a search operation. Earlier, security forces had foiled an infiltration bid by Pakistani militants in the Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir. The jawans had seen suspicious activities in the area. This was followed by firing by the security forces. The jawans have also launched a search operation in the area. Meanwhile, a meeting on the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir is being held in Delhi today. The meeting is being led by Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla.
