Ahmedabad: The Dahod court of Gujarat has given death sentence to the accused in a case of tarnishing of relationships. In this case, the accused had strangled his six-year-old innocent niece after raping her. The next day the girl's body was recovered from the forest near the village. This incident happened three years back. After hearing both the sides, the court has now convicted the accused and sentenced him to death. According to the report, the hearing of the case took place in front of the bench of Justice CK Chauhan of the Special POCSO Court of Dahod. The court convicted the 38-year-old accused and termed it a heinous crime. Along with this, the accused was sentenced to death and said that this decision will become an example in many other cases. According to the case diary, the brother and sister-in-law of the accused live and work in Rajkot for livelihood. At the same time, she had left her six-year-old girl at the accused's house for care. When the police investigated seriously after the entire matter was cleared in the post-mortem, the first suspicion fell on the accused. In such a situation, when the police interrogated him in custody, the accused had accepted his crime. The police had presented 94 different documentary evidences along with 28 witnesses and medical reports in the court regarding this incident.
