PM Modi receives open letter from 69 former bureaucrats questioning need of new parliament building

New Delhi: Former bureaucrats have raised questions by writing an open letter to PM Modi on the Central Vista project. A group of former bureaucrats wrote an open letter to PM Modi expressing concern over the Central Vista redevelopment project, alleging that irresponsible attitude was being shown from the beginning.

Under the banner of the Constitutional Conduct Group, 69 retired bureaucrats have claimed that the country's public health infrastructure is awaiting investment and questioned why useless and unnecessary projects are being given priority over social priorities like health and education. The letter is signed by former IAS officers - Jawahar Sarkar, Javed Usmani, NC Saxena, Aruna Roy, Harsh Mander and Rahul Khullar and former IPS officers - AS Dulat, Amitabh Mathur and Julio Ribeiro.

These people say that 'Despite there being no specific reason for the new house of Parliament, it is a matter of great concern that when the economy is facing a decline in the country, which has brought the plight of millions of people, The government has chosen to invest on it with pomp. However, there has been no response from the government on this issue.
