9 more people lost their lives due to Swine Flu in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: In the last 24 hours, swine flu has killed nine more people in Gujarat. With this, the number of people killed with the disease since January has increased to 280.

According to the state health bulletin released by the state government, nine people were infected with H1N1 in different parts of the state, whereas 191 new cases of this disease were reported. A day earlier, 17 cases of swine flu deaths were reported.

Currently, there are treatment of 1,981 infected people in different hospitals in the state. Of these, 17 are on life-saving systems while nine people lost their lives in the last 24 hours.

Gujarat Health Minister Shankar Chaudhary held a meeting with health officials to justify the situation. He also announced the formation of a special squad to monitor the treatment of patients in government and private hospitals.
