Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar who is known for doing action movies had launched an insurance scheme for stunt choreographers in 2017, courtesy which the family of stuntman Abdul Sattar Munna, who had passed away in a road accident two years ago, recently received a compensation of Rs 20 lakh. The stunt artiste had met with a fatal accident while travelling to the set of a Malayalam film and it was Khiladi Kumar initiative due to which the redressal was possible. Bhumi Pednekar reveals about her role in Pati Patni Aur Woh, read on According to the report of Mid-Day, Movie Stunt Artistes Association general secretary, Aejaz Gulab has sought the 2.0 actor’s assistance again in order to secure insurance for senior stuntmen. Gulab told "Two years ago, getting compensation of Rs 20 lakh for a stuntman's family was impossible. But Akshay sir stepped in and procured accident insurance policies and mediclaim insurance for the 550 stuntmen registered with us. He even pays our premium," He further said, "Insurance companies only cover those between 18 to 55 years of age. The benefit is not extended to those above the age bracket. Gulab further informed the tabloid that the industry has around 50 action choreographers who are older than 55 years of age. After he got insurance for our community, we are hoping for another miracle.” On the work front, Akshay’s forthcoming films include Mission Mangal, Good News, Housefull 4 and Sooryavanshi.
