Mumbai: A 10-year-old child was killed when he fell into a dung swamp at Tabelle in Dahanukar Wadi area of Kandivali , Mumbai. The traumatic incident happened around 3 pm and 3.30 pm Thursday. Durvesh Jadhav is said to have gone to Tabelle, near his home in Dhanukwadi, in a kite-robbing affair, but fell into the dung pit there. In the meantime, he could not get out of the dung swamp and died due to suffocation. According to information received by Baba Saheb Salukhe, a senior Kandivali police officer, 10-year-old Durvesh Jadhav was the lone child of his parents and lived with his parents in a nearby SRA building. The police rushed to the spot after locals reported the incident. The police pulled out Durvesh with the help of crane, but by then he had died of suffocation. After Durvesh's death, his family is crying bad. Parents are repeatedly saying the same thing that if they don't go to that tabella, it wouldn't have been a traumatic accident. The whole family is in the grief of losing their son. In this case, the police has registered a case under ADR. The police is currently investigating the case.
