Gandhi Nagar: On Tuesday, in Roza area of Shahjahnpur, for Col. Dr Ravindra Kumar Srivastava's last rites a huge crowd gathered. A crowd of people from his house to the crematorium followed. A private vehicle was decorated with flower garlands and from there the body of the Colonel was taken to the crematorium. A final salute was given to the deceased colonel by the army personnel with full military honours at the crematorium. The tricolour flag was handed over to the colonel's wife and his uniform to the son and daughter by army officials. The Colonel's body was lit by his son and daughter. It is noteworthy that Colonel Dr. Ravindra Kumar Srivastava, who lives in Roza, was posted as Colonel in the Army Hospital in Surendra Nagar, Gujarat. He died due to electric shock while doing some electrical work at home there on Sunday. His body was brought to his Roza residence late Monday evening. He was cremated with full respect at Roza on Tuesday. His brother Arvind Srivastava said that when the Kargil war was going on then once his army train stopped at Roza.
