There is a country in the world where only Muslims live, but there is not a single mosque built here. Not only this, but they have not got permission to build a mosque in this country. The name of this country is Slovakia. The Muslims in Slovakia are Turks and Ugar, and have been living here since the 17th century. In 2010, Slovakia had a Muslim population of around 5,000. Slovakia is also a member of the European Union. But it is a country that became its member in the end.
A war has been fought in this country to build a mosque. In the year 2000, there was also a war to build an Islamic centre in the capital of Slovakia. The Mayor of Bratišiová rejected all proposals of the Slovak Islamic Waqf Foundation. In 2015, the migration of refugees to Europe remained a major issue. Slovakia accepted 200 Christians but refused to let Muslim refugees enter the country.
Giving clarification on this, the Foreign Ministry of Slovakia said that there is no place of worship of Muslims here, due to which giving refuge to Muslims can cause many problems in the country. However, the decision was also criticized by the European Union. On 30 November 2016, Slovakia passed a law banning the status of official religion to Islam. This country does not accept Islam as a religion. It is the most disputed matter in the country, many campaigns and protests took place but the Government didn't give permission to built mosque.
