Hyderabad: A fire broke out at an electric bike showroom in Secunderabad, adjoining Telangana's capital Hyderabad. However, two fire engines brought the fire under control. 6 people died in this accident late at night. The rest were rescued. The Additional DCP of Hyderabad's North Zone has informed that a fire broke out in an electric bike showroom near the passport office in Secunderabad due to a short circuit. There are lodges above the showroom, in which many people were trapped. So far 6 people have lost their lives in this incident. According to the Additional DCP, the rescue operation is still going on. Earlier in April, a similar incident had taken place in Tamil Nadu. At the showroom in Porur-Kundaratur here, a customer had put his e-bike battery on charge. It caught fire shortly after. Gradually, the entire showroom was engulfed in flames. In this incident, 5 new electric scooters and 12 old electric scooters for servicing were burnt. After the fire, smoke started rising from the showroom, which caused panic among the people. After the incident, people gathered in the area, leading to a traffic jam. The crowd was later removed with the help of police. However, it was a matter of relief that no human being was harmed in the earlier fire incident reported in the same showroom. With the help of locals, the fire was controlled, but before that, the entire showroom was burnt to ashes.
