A man raped and thrashed a woman on the pretext of giving donation for NGO

These days the crime against women is increasing day by day. In a shocking incident reported from Haryana's Gurugram district, a woman was brutally thrashed and raped after she was called to a house on the pretext of offering a donation to an NGO. The accused has now been booked by police for sexual assault and beating the woman.

As per the reports, The victim works for a Non-Government Organisation (NGO). She received a call from a man identified as Raj Kumar on Monday. The woman in her police complaint stated that the man offered a donation to her NGO and called her to his office to collect the money. She said in her complaint, "As I called him to get the address of his office, the man told me to come to his house in Roshanpura Colony near Sadar Bazar,"

As per her complaint, the victim reached the said address, the accused bolted the door and started misbehaving her, When the woman questioned his behaviour, the accused started molesting the victim and even tore her clothes. Based on a complaint from the woman, the police have filed an FIR under sections 323 (causing hurt), 354-B (sexual assault) of IPC. Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Sunita said the matter is being investigated and the accused have been arrested.

These types of instances are very common in India. In yet another similar incident reported in August, a 42-year-old US-based woman was allegedly raped and forced her to undergo an abortion by a man in Gurugram. The woman was visiting India when the alleged sexual assault happened. The woman also alleged that the accused took her private pictures and threatened to upload them on the internet if she did not pay him Rs 50 lakh.
