A Must Try 'Chicken xacuti Recipe'

If you love Goan food then this is one recipe that you have to try out!!!

Ingredients:

Chicken – 1 medium sized Ghee - 3 tablespoons Red Kashmiri Chillies - 6 Coriander Seeds – 1 tablespoons Sesamee Seeds - 1/2 teaspoon Cloves - 2 teaspoons Jeera - 1 teaspoon Methi Seeds - 1/4 teaspoon Peppercorns - 8 Khus Khus - 1 tablepoon Saunf - 1 teaspoon Tumeric powder - 1 teaspoon 1/2 Coconut scraped Garlic - 5 Onion – ½ Tamarind pulp - 2 tablespoons Salt To taste

Method:

Chop the chicken and add salt and keep aside. In a pan add1 tablespoon of ghee fry the red chillies and all the dry spices and then add the coconut, the garlic and the onions fry for about 1-2 minutes. Let cool. Grind all the ingredients in a blender to a fine paste. In a vessel heat 2 tablespoons of ghee and  add the paste and fry well. Add the chicken and mix well Add 1 cup of water Add salt to taste. Bring to a boil and cover and cook till chicken is cooked. Add the tamarind pulp and mix Serve with white rice.
