Speeding truck rammed into a tractor trolley, 4 dead and 15 injured

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh has once again seen the havoc of speed. A tragic accident took place near Bamhori Sir on Jhansi-Lalitpur National Highway in Lalitpur of the state on Sunday (September 25) morning. Four labourers lost their lives and more than 15 were injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a tractor trolley here.

As soon as the accident was reported, administrative and police officials rushed to the spot and the doctors were alerted. The workers were on their way to Talbehat from Bamhourisar in a tractor-trolley. The accident took place as soon as they reached the highway after coming out of Bamhourisar in the Talbehat Kotwali area at around 9 am. The speeding truck coming from the front from the Talbehat side went out of control and collided directly with the tractor trolley.

The trolley was carrying more than 20 labourers, including women. According to the information given by the officials, many seriously injured labourers have been sent to the hospital, while the bodies of the deceased have been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. Police said that the death toll may increase further, so the families of the injured are being informed.
