The Indian government is implementing new norms on all the services which we are offered with. Now, Aadhaar has become the most necessary document to avail all the government and non-government services.
Previously, the government announced that to get the driving license, citizens should have the Aadhaar card and its eKYC number should be linked to it. Now next is the cellular connection, yes, if you want to have the mobile connection you should link your eKYC number with your number.
Department of Telecom (DoT) on Friday announced to all the telecom providers to check their users are linked with the Aadhaar or not. DoT in its statement said, "All licensees shall re-verify all existing mobile subscribers (prepaid and postpaid) through Aadhaar-based e-KYC process.”
