Lucknow: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha has already sought clarifications from Punjab CM Charanjeet Singh Channi on the huge amount of cash recovered in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid on his relative's hideouts. He is now scheduled to meet Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit on Monday over the same issue. It may be recalled that ED seized Rs 10 crore in cash during a raid in connection with a money-laundering probe in connection with an illegal sand mining operation in Punjab, including Rs 8 crore from the whereabouts of a relative of CM Channi. Chadha, a co-in-charge of AAP's Punjab affairs, alleged that Channi's relative had created 'crores' of rupees and other properties in the last three to four months. Chadha had asked, 'Where did this money come from? It is said that Channi's relative did not have that much money four months ago.' Chadha had alleged that, "Just 111 days (in Channi's chief ministership before the Model Code of Conduct came into force) if one of the CM's relatives could earn Rs 10 crore, you can imagine how much wealth other relatives would have built. And imagine how much money CM Channi himself must have taken? And imagine how much Channi would have earned if he had been CM for five years. Channi Saheb surpassed the Badal brothers and Captain Saheb. The Congress party has been exposed today. CM Channi used to say that I am a common man and come from a poor family. Today, Channi saheb's poverty has been exposed to the people of Punjab.
