AAP MP Sanjay Singh threatened to kill, case filed

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh has alleged that he has received death threats. He has lodged a complaint with the police in the case. Sharing a copy of the complaint from the police on his Twitter handle, the Sanjay Singh leader said he would not be intimidated by such threats. He also urged the Delhi Police to take action on the matter at the earliest.

The police have filed a complaint under Section 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). "At 7 p.m. On Monday evening, a complaint was received from Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh regarding threats being made to him over the phone at North Avenue police station," the police said in a statement. Taking cognizance of the matter, the report has been filed," police said, adding that the accused will be arrested at the earliest.

Giving more details on the matter, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) State President Sabhajit Singh has said, "He has been threatened by an unidentified person and burned alive." The man asked Sanjay Singh to add kerosene and burn it alive."
