Shobhaa De, the Indian columnist and novelist made a statement about the Indian athletes who participated in Rio Olympics 2016 which is shameless,it's not something the author should be proud of.
Shobhaa De took to her micro blogging site to post her so called opinion which read as,“Goal of Team India at the Olympics: Rio jao. Selfies lo. Khaali haat wapas aao. What a waste of money and opportunity”
On the other hand Abhinav Bindar,.the shooting star of India came with this “@DeShobhaa that's a tad unfair. You should be proud of your athletes perusing human excellence against the whole world.”
Maybe,Ms.Shobhaa De forgot about Bindra's gold win at 2008 Beijing Olympics.Or is simply unaware of the sheer brilliance that is Dipa Karmakar.
