Abu Salem sends legal notice to 'Sanju' makers, threatens with defamation case

 

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 27 (NT): Ferocious Gangster Abu Salem has imposed a legal notice on the makers of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer movie 'Sanju'. He alleged that the Rajkumar Hirani directorial portrays wrong information about him in the movie.

According to the reports Salem's lawyer has sent the legal notice to Director Raj Kumar Hirani, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the distributors and the production companies who involved in the movie, demanding the taking away of contents which allegedly reasoned defamation to the gangster.

In the legal notice, Salem also threatened the Sanju makers with defamation case if the scenes are not detached within a period of 15 days.

the notice referrs to a scene which was allegedly fake,  read, "The scene where Ranbir Kapoor (pictured as Sanjay Dutt) gives confessional statement about the possession of arms and ammunition during the communal tensions around our country in the year 1993 is defaming my client as my client never supplied the arms and ammunition as alleged to Mr. Sanjay Dutt as pictured in the said film."

The notice also claimed that Salem never met actor Sanjay Dutt enen he did not  supply arms and ammunition to him.

 Worth mention here The gangster is serving a life sentence in lockup after being found guilty in the 1993 Mumbai blasts. (NT)
