Los Angeles: LOS ANGELES: Actress Regina Hall hopes that Jimmy Kimmel can avoid a repeat of the Will Smith and Chris Rock incident at the Oscars. Regina joked to "Entertainment Tonight" regarding Jimmy hosting the show the following year: "It seems like a really awful idea to me. I'm not serious. We'll make sure Jimmy is covered up so he doesn't get hurt while performing and no one leaves the audience. However, I believe it will be a great concert, and he has a good track record, so I'm interested to see what he does. Hall thanked Will for his apology in a video message over the summer. She said: "Life takes place. I usually say, "What can you say to that but thank you?" whenever I feel like someone is sincerely, like, you know, expressing an apology. Really, it's fantastic." Last month, Will attributed his failure to apologise to Chris at the time to being "fuzzy" and "fogged out." The Hollywood celebrity was barred from the Oscars and all of the organization's events for the following ten years after quitting the Academy as a result of the controversy. Will said: "When I contacted Chris, he responded that he wasn't yet ready to chat, but that he would do so later. I shall thus apologise to you, Chris. "I'm available for conversation whenever you're ready, and my behaviour was inappropriate." Will also expressed regret to Chris' mother and the rest of his family.
