Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), the largest private airport operator in India, has teamed up with Thales, a global leader in advanced technologies, to transform airport operations and improve the passenger experience across the country. This strategic partnership aims to revolutionize international airport operations managed by AAHL. As part of this collaboration, Thales has already implemented its Fly to Gate solution at seven AAHL-managed airports, streamlining the travel experience for millions of passengers since early 2024. Now, AAHL has awarded Thales an additional contract to deploy the innovative Airport Operation Control Centre (APOC) across all its airports. This solution is designed to optimize airport management and enhance passenger experience securely. The seven airports currently utilize the DigiYatra system, powered by Thales’ Fly to Gate solution, which employs advanced facial recognition technology for secure passenger identification. Pre-enrolled passengers can enjoy a smoother journey without needing to show an ID document or boarding pass at every checkpoint, from check-in to boarding. This seamless integration reduces passenger processing time by up to 30% at these airports and supports the Indian government's vision of a digital India. Furthermore, Thales will design, integrate, and implement a comprehensive APOC solution for all AAHL-managed airports. This cloud-based 'Smart Digital Platform' will centralize applications to enhance overall airport management, security, and passenger experience. The innovative APOC platform will collect operational data from various airport subsystems and sensors while ensuring compliance with privacy standards. This data will be intelligently processed using automation, big data analytics, and advanced artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. The upcoming solution will anticipate and minimize unplanned resource shortages, thereby increasing efficiency and predictability.
