Additi Gupta, who quit the show Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil and featured in Star Plus’ popular show Ishqbaaz playing the role of Ragini talks about her experience working on the show. Also, Additi talked about her experience working with lead actors of the show. “I wanted to shed the image of a mother and hence I chose Ishqbaaaz because one- it is very popular and secondly it is not saas bahu types. It is more young and relatable. It is real when compared to other shows. It has the best setting and the actors get to wear experimental clothes and hence I came onboard and enjoyed my stint on the show,” Additi said in a statement. Additi on being part of the show said, “It was so much fun shooting for Ishqbaaaz. I was kicked about playing the role of a psycho and when the makers approached me I was like OKAY. It was so much fun playing Ragini who was doing all those bizarre things like hitting herself with ‘hathoda’ and slapping herself and all of that.” Talking about her experience working with Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna, the actress said, “They were so warm and nice. Nakuul and Surbhi are professionals and they made me feel at home. With Surbhi, I had done a scene in Qubool Hai so I knew her. We also met at several parties since our circle is almost the same but Nakuul I met for the second time. I had only met him once at some party a few years ago.” On receiving hate comments after entering in the show, “I was shocked when people started writing hate comments on Instagram when I shared the promo of my entry on the show. I was like I haven’t even entered the show and hate was flowing left, right and centre. People must understand that I am just playing a character and it is all reel but then I learned to ignore it,” she said.
