Adnan Sami's befitting to those who raised the question on getting Padmashri, says, 'I am not a politician'

Bollywood singer Adnan Sami has been awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India. But many people expressed their displeasure at this honor of the government that Adnan received. From Bollywood celebs like Swara Bhaskar, Raza Murad to the Sant Samaj of Jaipur, many people raised questions on Adnan getting this award. Now, responding to all those people, Adnan has also broken his silence on this matter. Adnan also mentioned the matter on the launching ceremony of his new song 'Tu Yaad Aaya'.

He said that he is a musician and he should not be dragged into political debate. Adnan said- 'This whole thing is politics. I am not a politician. I am a musician. Just like you will not ask any leader about the raga court, in the same way do not ask me about politics. Beyond all this, I only know that I am a musician. I share love through music. '' Apart from the announcement that Adnan Sami was given the Padma Shri, many people felt that he was not entitled to this honor due to his Pakistani origin.

Apart from this, it also emerged that while Sami had opted for Indian citizenship only four years ago, his father is a former Pakistani military personnel who fought against India during the Kargil war of 1999. It was said that he is not responsible for his father's work. The same Adnan has been a victim of trolls on many matters even before this. Adnan is also caught in the controversy over such Indian Citizenship Amendment Act case.
