After 2 weaks of riot in Kashmir Valley, School to reopen in 4 district today

Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday decided to reopen schools in four of the 10 districts of the violence-hit valley from today.

An order issued by Commissioner Secretary Education Department Shaleen Kabra said, "In partial modification to the orders in regard to summer vacation, it has been decided that the schools in the districts of Baramulla, Bandipora, Budgam and Ganderbal as well as winter Zone of Jammu Division will reopen on July 21, 2016," 

Meanwhile separatists have extended strike call till July 25. Separatists Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Omar Farooq and Yasin Malik in a joint statement, have asked people for no strike in Valley for few hours from Thursday afternoon so that people could get essentials from markets. However they said that the strike will resume from Friday.
