Sonu Nigam has shaved off his hair yesterday followed by cleric which was being issued against him by Bengal Muslim Association. He in the press meet said, "I have considered Mohammed Rafi as my guru. My driver is a Muslim. I am not anti-Muslim, I consider myself secular." About the issue of loudspeakers, he quipped, "Be it a temple or Gurudwara or a mosque, the loudspeaker is not a religious necessity. It's not part of any religion. I am a secular person. It was not about azaan, it was about the loud sound. Playing loud sound on a speaker is gundagardi for me." About the Fatwa, he said, "It is not a challenge. But I wonder what are we making out of this country. Anyone can come out with a fatwa. I am not an atheist and I don't believe that my dharam is better or the other one is bad."
