After Padmavati now Salman Khan targeted by Valmiki Samaj

This year hasn’t been quite nice to the Indian Film Industry when it comes to the release of the most anticipated films. After Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Padmavati been embroiled in constant controversies due to the Rajput Karni Sena, Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai finds itself in trouble. An FIR has been lodged against Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty Kundra for using the word 'Bhangi' on a public platform as it hurt the sentiments of Scheduled Caste community, the Valmiki community. The complaint was lodged on Saturday at the Andheri Police station by Navin Ramchandra Lade, the general secretary of Rojgar Aghari Republican Part of India and a member of Scheduled Cast (MAHAR).

The statement released by Lade's lawyer read: "Salman along with Katrina Kaif on a TV Show stated insulting word 'Bhangi' against the member of the scheduled cast." The Salman-Katrina starrer might also lose out on some cashing in as the film’s screening was stopped in many parts of Rajasthan after members of the Valmiki community raised slogans, tore and burnt posters of the film over the alleged use of a pejorative word by Salman during a promotional event. The protests started from Ajmer and soon reached Jaipur and Kota, leading to a cancellation of the morning shows in several cinema halls of the film that released nationwide on Friday.
