Shimla: While on the one hand, the Congress party and former party president Rahul Gandhi keep on calling industrialist Gautam Adani debased, on the other hand, Congress governments are constantly seen joining hands with the Adani group. In fact, after Rajasthan, now the Congress government of Himachal Pradesh has made a deal with Adani, due to which the closed cement plants in the state will also start. Earlier, on the request of CM Ashok Gehlot's government in Rajasthan, the Adani group had decided to invest thousands of crores in the state. After this, CM Ashok Gehlot, praising Adani fiercely, also allotted land to him in Rajasthan. However, the question is also arising that, when Rahul Gandhi is making serious allegations against Adani, why are the Congress governments joining hands with him? Are Rahul Gandhi's allegations just a political maneuver to corner the Modi government? Let us tell you that in Himachal Pradesh, there was a dispute between both the cement companies of Adani Group and the truck operators regarding freight charges. Now after 65 days, this dispute has been resolved. Yesterday i.e. on Monday (February 20) an agreement was advanced between the two sides in the presence of CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. As per the agreement, the new freight rates have been fixed at Rs 9.30 per kilometer per tonne and Rs 10.30 per kilometer per tonne. Truck operators said during this time that they are accepting the new rate keeping in view the interests of the people of the state. However, he claimed that this would result in a loss of Rs 5-7 lakh every year. After this, he also said that he is ready to bear this loss for the public interest. Along with this, both the cement companies of Adani Group Ambuja and ACC will start production in their respective plants from Tuesday itself. Truck union people will also return to work from today. However, he said that further discussions are yet to take place among themselves. After the formation of the Congress government in the state, 35,000 people had become unemployed due to the closure of two plants on December 15, 2022. CM Sukhu himself was monitoring the matter and he held this third round of talks. The representatives of the truck operators said that the discussion would continue to resolve their remaining issues. So far 16 rounds of talks have been held with the government to reach an agreement between the two sides. CM Sukhu had also called CEO-level officers for talks. Both sides suffered losses from this dispute. CM Sukhu said that this matter came to light only 5 days after he became the Chief Minister.
