AIADMK passes resolution in general council meeting

The General Council meeting of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam held.

In the general council meeting on Tuesday, the  All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) passed a resolution. The party general secretary V.K. Sasikala stands expelled from the party and the post of the temporary general secretary forfeited.

The resolution further said that the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, E. Palanisamy and his deputy, O. Panneerselvam, shall retrieve the party and its symbol.

There are various terms of the resolution which stated that Whoever was appointed by Amma as office-bearers shall continue. All office-bearers shall perform the duty as laid down by the rules and regulations.

To restore the party, Amma's legacy efforts are praised by the GC and All announcements by T.T.V. Dinakaran stand cancelled, other such resolutions are passed. It was the first meeting after the merger of two groups. The two factions led by CM E Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam merged last month.​
