New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) nurses yesterday went on strike as they were protesting against the death of a nurse during treatment at the hospital due to the negligence of the doctors. According to the sources news, Nurse Rajveer Kaur on 16 January was admitted in the Hospital for Delivery and from that time she was on ventilator support for three weeks. On Saturday, she died after which the nurses are protesting. As the nurses are protesting, the services in the wards and in ICUs have been affected. The AIIMS administration on Sunday has suspended five doctors. The Suspended doctors wrote letters to the administration and told that during the surgery she suffered from Cardiac arrest.
