Air India has introduced its latest aircraft, the Airbus A350-900, on its Delhi to London Heathrow route, now operating twice daily. This upgrade is part of the airline’s "New Air India" initiative, aimed at significantly improving passenger comfort and service quality. A Major Step Forward The launch of the Airbus A350-900 marks a significant milestone for Air India. The airline has replaced the Boeing 777-300ER and 787-8 Dreamliner on 14 out of 17 weekly flights between the two capital cities. Campbell Wilson, Managing Director and CEO of Air India, highlighted the upgrade as a testament to the airline's dedication to providing a world-class travel experience. Enhanced Features of the A350-900 The new Airbus A350-900 brings several notable upgrades: Modern Cabin Layout: The A350-900 features a refreshed cabin with full-flat beds in Business Class, a revamped Premium Economy, and new comfortable seats in Economy Class. Advanced Inflight Entertainment: Passengers can enjoy over 3,000 hours of content through the latest inflight entertainment system. Onboard Wi-Fi will also be available soon. Diverse Content Offerings: The entertainment system includes TV shows from major streaming platforms like Paramount+, HBO, and Hulu, as well as a wide range of music and exclusive Air India Radio programming. Updated Amenities: Business and Premium Economy passengers will receive new amenity kits designed by Ferragamo and TUMI. The airline is also introducing Vista Verve, a new soft product line with upgraded chinaware, tableware, glassware, and bedding. New Crew Uniforms: The flight and cabin crew will don new uniforms designed by Manish Malhotra, marking a fresh look for the airline. Premium Economy Kits: TUMI-designed kits for Premium Economy include skincare essentials from Verso, eye masks, socks, and hand lotion, all in recyclable packaging. Comfortable Sleepwear: First and Business Class passengers will enjoy new loungewear and plush velour slippers, along with sustainable bed linen, including bespoke duvets and memory foam mattress toppers. Upgraded Blankets and Dining: Business Class blankets are made from a premium wool blend with traditional Sozni embroidery. Premium Economy and Economy passengers will use new cabin blankets and enjoy chinaware featuring intricate Mandala patterns. Kids’ Entertainment: Young travelers can access over 100 hours of curated content, tailored for Pre-School, Kids, and Teens.
