Air India Revamps Loyalty Program for Enhanced Customer Benefits

Air India has introduced an enhanced loyalty program aimed at providing more rewards and benefits to its customers. The airline announced the launch of its revamped loyalty program, Flying Returns, on Wednesday, marking the first major update in over a decade.

Departing from the traditional miles-based system, the new program adopts a more equitable spend-based model, making it simpler for members to earn rewards. According to Air India, members can begin enjoying the benefits of the updated program immediately, although the exact number of existing members was not disclosed.

Key features of the revamped program include points that do not expire for active members, no blackout dates for redemption, consistent tier privileges, and the ability to earn and redeem points across the network of Star Alliance partner airlines worldwide. Additionally, a user-friendly digital interface has been introduced to streamline transactions, providing customers with a convenient one-stop platform.

The launch of the upgraded loyalty program reflects Air India's commitment to enhancing the travel experience for its passengers while adapting to changing preferences and industry standards.
