New Delhi: Air India, which is suffering from losses, is going to appoint 10 executive directors. The Executive Director is the second largest post in the company after the Board of Directors. Air India has taken two rounds of interviews in the last two weeks. Every person appointed to this post will be given a monthly salary of two lakh rupees. An official has said that while the government of Air India is in the process of disinvestment, and does not have the money to pay salaries, it is surprising to be interviewed for this post. This post has been lying vacant for almost two years. According to the Economic Times report, the official said that even if these posts are not appointed, it will not affect the operations of Air India, many general managers, regional directors have additional charge in Air India, Who does not feel the need for an executive director. Air India has 20 executive directors positions, of which six were re-hired after retiring. After these new appointments, this number will be 30. This will put an additional burden of Rs 7,20,00,000 on the company annually. This is just a calculation of salary. The directors also received house, car and driver from the company.
