Air India to start flights to Germany from October 26

After a brief suspension of the air bubble between India and Germany, National carrier Air India on Friday said it will operate flights to Germany from October 26. The. It indicates that the new agreement reached between the two countries has been extended till March 28, 2021.

Taking to Twitter,  the nation carrier wrote, "Air India will operate flights between India-Germany from 26th Oct' 20 to 28th March '21. Bookings open through AI website, Booking offices, call centre and Authorised Travel Agents."

Air bubbles are pacts signed by two nations allowing airlines of both the countries to fly. Under these agreements, the number of flights are restricted as all countries are now cautious so that the number of corona cases does not increase after allowing International air tarvel.   Recently, issues had occurred regarding the number of flights being operated by Lufthansa and Air India between the two countries.   These issues lead to a virtual breakdown of the previous agreement, and consequently, Lufthansa and Air India had to cancel their flights between the two nations. Several flights were cancelled due to the brief suspension of the air bubble. Those who have Air India tickets between October 20 and October 26 have been asked to contact the airline for rescheduling after October 26.
