AIRTEL users suffer major setback

Telecommunication company Bharti Airtel has recently given a big blow to its users. In fact, the company has made major changes in the tariff of its prepaid plans. Under the information received, the company has revised the prices of all its plans. It is said that all prepaid plans will now be costlier than before. The new rate list released by the company has increased by Rs 20 on the launch plan. That is, the initial plan of Rs.79 is now going to be available for Rs.99. The new prices are said to come into effect from November 26, 2021. Sunil Bharti Mittal, the owner of the company, had already hinted at increasing prepaid tariffs. Recently, he had said, "The time has come to increase the tariff.''

In fact, Airtel has to take the user to Rs. 200 on ARPU-average revenue by the end of the current financial year, airtel's ARPU fell last quarter, in view of which it was decided to increase the tariff. The ARPU of the company came down from Rs.166 to Rs.145. The company had also suffered revenue losses.

In view of this, Airtel is now trying to increase it. Airtel's ARPU stood at Rs 166 in October-December last year, which went up to Rs 145 in the March quarter this year. The decline was seen because operators had abolished the Interconnect Usage Charge (IUC). According to one figure, the IUC's contribution to the telecom industry was 7-8 per cent, which ended and the end has seen a major user decline on the average revenue of mobile companies.
