Two telecom companies in the country have tried to provide some relief to the flood victims. Telecom giant Airtel and Vodafone Idea have announced special data and calling benefits for flood-hit subscribers in Assam. Airtel has increased free calling and data for customers in 30 districts of Assam. Airtel is crediting free Talktime as well as 100MB to 5GB of data on subscribers' accounts in flood-hit areas that come with extended validity. Airtel is trying to connect with its family members at this difficult time. The company has also extended the bill date for postpaid subscribers.
