Akhilesh Yadav, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh today removed the Sharda Pratap Shukla from the council of ministers. He is the Minister of State for higher education.
The Samajwadi Party denied to give him the ticket and instead of him fielded Anurag Yadav. Mr. Yadav is the cousin of Akhilesh Yadav and is the brother of Samajwadi party's MP Dharmendra Yadav.
Mr. Shukla has filed nomination on a Rashtriya Lok Dal ticket. In Uttar Pradesh, the Assembly elections are scheduled to begin from 11 February
