Alaya F has defended Suhana Khan who got trolled for being Maybelline ambassador

Alaya F has defended Suhana Khan who got trolled after she was announced as the brand ambassador for the beauty brand Maybelline.

Suhana Khan recently delighted her parents Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan by being named a brand ambassador for a major cosmetics company. King Khan himself posted a video of the massive celebration, which took place in Mumbai. While many praised the aspiring actress, others derided her for being a nepotistic brat. Alaya F has now defended the same and added her two cents.

Alaya claimed in a recent interview that the brand had to have made the choice knowing exactly what they were doing. Suhana and her family were chosen because they brought something significant to the table.

Alaya F was asked about Suhana Khan being trolled and receiving backlash for emerging as a brand ambassador. Alaya F told Siddharth Kanan, “At the end of the day whether it’s brands, whether it’s films, it’s a business. Obviously decisions are made with thought. You know there are times where lineage is not something that should be discarded and treated lightly. Lineage is something that takes a lot of effort to build and all you have to hope to do is live up to it.”

The Indian adaptation of the classic comic book series The Archies is Suhana's first production, and it will air on OTT juggernaut Netflix later this year. The Archies, a coming-of-age tale produced by Tiger Baby and Graphic India, will expose the youngsters of Riverdale to a new generation in India. Boney Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, the daughter of the late Sridevi, will make their film debuts as well.

Alaya's most recent appearance was in Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat by Anurag Kashyap. U-Turn, a horror movie, is her upcoming release.
