Guwahati : The Assam government has announced that all the teachers in the state will be given the vaccine by September 5. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "The Assam government has decided to vaccinate every teacher in the state before September 5, when we will celebrate Teachers' Day. We have brought 12 lakh additional COVID-19 vaccines from the central government." The Assam CM also said that efforts will be made by the Assam government to reopen schools and colleges in the state from September 1.
