Alwar lynching: Assistant sub-inspector suspended, 3 constables shifted to Police Lines

ALWAR: An assistant sub-inspector was service off and three constables were shifted to Police Lines in the Alwar lynching case.

 This move came after media reports have alleged negligence on the part of police in the aforesaid case.

A four-member committee, formed by the Rajasthan Police to inquire the hindrance in taking 28-year-old Akbar Khan to the hospital, perched the ASI and moved three other constables to police lines, Special DGP (law and order) NRK Reddy announced at a press meet in Alwar.

 He said that three accused have been arrested while the Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) has been suspended and three constables have been shifted to district lines.  He assured that a thorough inquiry is being done in the case.

 Worth mention here the inquiry into the lynching of 28-year-old Akbar Khan handed over to an additional SP rank officer by the IG of Jaipur range.

Director General of Police O.P. Galhotra stated that the committee will find out why so much time was washed out in shifting Rakbar after he was beaten up in Alwar district on Saturday.

It is noted that senior officers N.R.K. Reddy, P.K. Singh, Hemant Priyadarshi and Mahendra Singh Chaudhary will include in the probe team.
