Amarindar Singh officially tendered his resignation as Lok Sabha MP

New Delhi: After holding talks with the Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan, an official resignation arrived from the Punjab Congress chief Captain Amarindar Singh this afternoon in order to turned down self from the post of a Member of Parliament. Previously, the leader submitted his resignation on November but, made it public today.

Amarindar Singh said to media, “I have formally submitted my resignation. We are protesting against the Sutlej Yamuna Link (SYL) canal row verdict and will take this issue to the public”.

He further added, “I feel strongly about the SYL issue and I being the President of Punjab Pradesh Congress and all MLAs, who have resigned, will go in public to raise the issue. So, I have written a one-line resignation”.
