Facebook-owned company WhatsApp is working on a feature that will automatically delete WhatsApp messages. WhatsApp has named this feature as an expiring media. After the expiring media feature is rolled out, as the sender closes the chat, the media files sent like images, videos and GIFs will be erased. This feature of WhatsApp is a part of the expiring message. The WhatsApp's new expiring media feature is currently on the app beta version. This new feature of WhatsApp has been reported by WABetaInfo, a portal that tracks the WhatsApp features. A screenshot of the new feature has also surfaced. The same can be seen in the screenshot that a timer button has been made available for this feature. If you want the files you sent to someone to be deleted automatically, you need to click the timer button before sending the message. A video has been shared in the WABetaInfo report which can be seen that the media file is disappearing as soon as the consumer closes the chat. WhatsApp will also label the timer on a message that will let individuals know that the media file was sent through the timer feature.
