Amazon's new combo of Echo speaker system and Alexa voice controlled digital assistant is the best technology to have a control over gadgets kept in home. Amazon is planning to have its direct interactions with the customers, rather than having intermediate gadgets.

As per the reports, Amazon is planning to remove all its intermediate gadgets like Apple, google and to float its own gadget as a "connected home".
While talking about the "connected home" issue, Apple spokesperson Trudy Muller said, " The number of Homekit-compatible accessories continues to grow rapidly with many exciting solutions announced just this month."
