Amit Shah calls a meeting of party's top leaders, discussion on party president can happen

New Delhi: BJP President Amit Shah has become the home Minister after the party's resounding victory in the Lok Sabha polls. One person in the party has been working on the policy of one post so far, the biggest question now is who would be chosen as Amit Shah's option in the post of party President. At present, Amit Shah has convened a meeting of the main leaders of the States and Union territories on June 13 and 14 in Delhi.

The meeting will discuss the party's organization elections. A senior party leader has said that the organization ministers have been summoned in the meeting. The election of the organisation will be in all the states units of the party. However, it can be avoided in states like Haryana, Maharashtra and Jharkhand, where assembly elections are going to be held soon. Elections to the territories are preceded by the election of the national president.

Amit Shah's three-year term ended early this year, but in the wake of the Lok Sabha polls, he was given a six-month extension. Since becoming Amit Shah's home minister, many senior leaders believe he will abdicate office. However, no official statement has been made on the BJP's side so far.
