Amit Shah flags off 'Run for Unity', says BJP fulfilling Sardar Patel's dream

New Delhi: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to him. Sardar Patel's birth anniversary is being celebrated across the country today as National Unity Day, at the same time, Amit Shah also flagged off the Unity race (Run for Unity). While addressing at Major Dhyanand Stadium in Delhi, Home Minister Amit Shah said that Sardar Patel has done the work of uniting the country.

He further said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has done the work of uniting the country by removing Article 370. Some of Sardar Patel's dreams were incomplete, which the BJP has fulfilled. Amit Shah said that after independence, the British had done the task of dividing the country into more than 550 princely states. The whole country and the world believed that India got independence, but India would fall apart. But Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel worked to connect the princely states with the country.

On this occasion, Amit Shah said that it has been 70 years, but no one thought it appropriate to touch Section 370. In 2019, the country's people once again made Modi the Prime Minister of the country, and on 5 August, the country's Parliament removed Sardar Saheb's unfinished dream by removing Article 370 and Article 35A.
