GIS 2025: Amit Shah reaches Bhopal, takes center stage at the closing ceremony of the summit

Union Home and Cooperatives Minister Amit Shah arrived in Bhopal for the Global Investors Summit on Tuesday. Upon reaching the capital, the Home minister was welcomed by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and State President of BJP VD Sharma. Amit Shah is here as the Chief Guest for the concluding session of the two-day Global Investors Summit.

Prior to Amit Shah’s arrival, the traffic had already been diverted around 3pm before he left the airport for the Manav Sangrahalaya. Traffic advisory was issued for the heavy vehicles in the capital city and the routes were diverted.

Yesterday, the event was graced by the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today, for the Horticulture session there was Union Agriculture Minister and former Chief minister of the state Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Shekhawat, Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and actor Pankaj Tripathi also attended the event back in the day.

The Home Minister was presented with a symbol of Mahakaal. Amit Shah will hold discussions with the investors who are going to invest in Madhya Pradesh. In his address, Shah said, “It is our goal to make India the manufacturing hub of the world and Madhya Pradesh is the biggest center of investment. With this summit, MP will step into a new dimension of development.” He also reflected upon the 10 years of Modi Government stating that they laid a new foundation for India. The minister also talked about Madhya Pradesh’s contribution to cotton production and how the state has been motivated for ‘transparency in governance’.

The Home Minister took to X, talking about his scheduled visit before he arrived, “The BJP government elevated Madhya Pradesh from a Bimaru State to a developing one. Today, the state is a driving force of Bharat. Looking forward to attending the Global Investors Summit- 2025 inaugurated by Modi Ji in Bhopal. #MPGIS2025”

In the two- day summit, more than 100 delegates and leading industrialists from more than 50 countries have participated in the event. The event marks the investment opportunities in the state, unveiling the new horizons for the growth. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the state has received proposals worth 30,77,000 crores till now.
